Why STAAD FOUNDATION ADVANCED?

STAAD FOUNDATION ADVANCED (SFA) is the one-stop solution for foundation analysis and design. It provides an integrated solution for Structural Engineers by taking into consideration all the design parameters to design the foundation for the entire project.

It can iterate to hundreds of load combinations and provides the most efficient design for foundations. Output includes construction-ready detailed drawings and a detailed calculation sheet which produces step-by-step calculations with applicable equations, code clauses and intermediate values. It also offers tools such as “General Arrangement” GA drawings to decide on appropriate foundation types.

What does This Amazing Tool offer?

SFA offers an integrated environment for foundation design addressing the building, plant and tower industries. The foundation types that can be designed include isolated and combined footings, pile caps, mat foundations, and annular ring wall foundations for the self and mechanically anchored tanks. Other capabilities include analysis of drilled piers for vertical and lateral loads, vibration analysis for machine foundations, automatic load (wind and seismic) generation for vessel structures, and load combination generation capabilities.

SFA supports several concrete codes from various countries. It optimizes the foundation including the determination of the overall safety from the standpoint of soil-bearing pressures, overturning and sliding stability, flexure, one-way and two-way shear limit states for concrete, pedestal design, and more.

STAAD Foundation Advanced is tightly integrated with STAAD Pro. A STAAD Pro file that is successfully analyzed can be imported into or exported to STAAD Foundation Advanced, while automatically bringing in all column positions (and/or plates), column cross section dimensions, support reactions, and loads. Besides this, it also performs the Finite Element Method (FEM) of Analysis for MAT foundations along with the generation of the plan, elevation and sectional views with rebar markings.

The workflow is categorized and arranged to flow from top to bottom which provides users with an intuitive graphical user interface for easily modelling complex or simple footings, such as plant foundations supporting vertical vessels, horizontal vessels, tanks and other footings and also to select various options for design in chronological order.

Provides detailed structural drawings with customizable drawing options and labels along with GA Drawings. Also, the Step-by-step detailed calculation sheet with code clauses and equations is provided to verify the output results.

It Supports both flexible and rigid methods to get the optimized results for footing dimensions along with Analysis for partial uplift caused by biaxial bending for all footing types

It also offers specific features for plant foundations and various foundation toolkit features.
